Workshops/Panels
Yes it is that time of year again! It is time to get your panels requests in. We are looking for new and exciting panels that will enrich our programming and continue to meet the needs of all the convention attendees.
Please complete the form below and email it to panels@ohayocon.org. Only completed forms will be accepted. You will be contacted shortly after receiving and processing your request.
General Rules for being a panelist:
- Must be 18 years old before January 30, 2009.
- Must Pre-Register for the convention.
- Be available for check in either Thursday night or Friday Morning before 10 am.
- Have complete panel information ready to present to the Panel Coordinator when asked.
Please note the following:
- While we make every effort to accommodate scheduling and equipment requests, we may not be able to meet all requests.
- All material should be suitable for the audience and the venue. We will do our best to accommodate those who wish to present adult themed topics.
- We must have complete contact details for all panelist because if we are unable to contact the Head panelist, we may contact other panelists to take over this responsibility. If we are unable to contact any of the panelists, the panel will be cancelled.
- All information is considered strictly confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of facilitating the panel. It will not be sold or shared in any way with any other party unless noted. Please keep it accurate and contact (panels@ohayocon.org) if it changes.
- Panel organizers must be at least 18 years old by January 29, 2009. All panelists must be 18 years old at the time of the panel.
- The deadlines for panels registration are as follows:
- For your panel description to be included in the programming guide, your application should be submitted by December 1, 2008.
Notes from the Panel Submission Committee:
- We are very excited to get started the planning procees for for Ohayocon 2009.
- If your attendance is in question please do not submit a panel request.
- Please be aware that we will be picking panels and placing these panels in "tracks of programming" within the month of November.
- Once your panel has been placed in a programming track you will be working with a panelist mentor to prepare your panel for the convention.
- Panelists can be under the age of 18 but must be accompanied by their parent or gaurdian during the panel.
- No panel can be run by all minors and we request that 1/2 of the panel be over the age of 18
